The difference between standard and metalized tint is the thickness and the color. Metalized is actually 2 seperate sheets of tint with a thin layer of metalic film in between where standard tint is a single sheet. It does give off a slight grayish look only at the right angle. The advantage to the metalized film is that it will never fade and it won't peal. Living in Texas with high heats i'd say go with the mealized film.
